Wisemans Ferry Wedding Venues – Ashleigh and Alan planned an amazing wedding full of surprises. The attention to detail and level of design was second to none. Django, the much-loved Staffy, was also the star of the day. Bouncing around with the joy of the morning and with the wedding rings tied around her collar she was carrying the official ring too.

In the morning, I spent some time with Ashleigh and Alan as they prepared for the big day. A secluded cottage on the banks of the river made for a peaceful morning. There really was a lot of family history in the area, one story about grandparents who even met on the river we watched as we prepared for the big day. There was an amazing car built by Alan and more surprises to follow.

One of the biggest surprises of the day involved the group Ashleigh hosted. About 20 years earlier, Alan had bought his precious Sandman van from Dave. Ashleigh arranged for Dave and his band to play at the concert. Neither Dave nor Alan knew that each other would be there and when they arrived at the reception, the look on Dave’s face didn’t matter. With the different rear window in the van the panel was one of a kind and Dave knew straight away that it was his old car from 20 years ago. The look on her and Alan’s face as they entered the entrance was horrifying. This car is very popular in the car world and won many awards and was featured on magazine covers so it was pretty big to say the least.

The only part of the day that passed the cars was how Ashleigh and Alan looked at each other. All other surprises aside it was really nice to see these guys together and they both made my job very easy. Thanks for sharing your day with me!
