This is a small property with only 5 motel units. The one we had was well presented and had adequate space and had a comfortable sitting area and the bathroom was a decent size and light. It was nice to receive a block of chocolate on arrival and it went too quickly. The price of the accommodation was amazing, there are not many places of this quality at this low price. My review ratings try to be consistent and I usually only assign a 5 in the circumstances described below. . Everything I rate 3 is good and I am happy to stay there again. Accommodations that are comfortable with quality furniture and accessories comparable to a home environment are more likely to have a high rating. They usually have a separate living room with comfortable seating, a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a cramped bedroom. Free wifi is also desirable.

Newstead Whispering Gums Motel
All in all a very nice room with plenty of space and a very nice presentation – felt like a BnB room – comfortable, clean and tidy. Like me, I was in the middle of traveling across the state for business so I needed a good quiet place and this was great. Lovely owner – very friendly. The only problem – the TV had no digital channels due to a problem with the antenna / amplifier. But that wasn’t a problem for me as I have the Foxtel GO app which I can use on the go via my iPad at work 🙂 So cheap at $80 a night – well above the price tag.
Cameron was great, heating was on before arrival, nice to get to a warm room, rooms are excellent, great value for money, well equipped rooms, also haven’t seen large bars of soap for years, great weekend. The whole town was great and all the business will come back again and recommend it to all our friends.
