I mentioned in a couple of posts about my hormonal adult acne that just doesn’t seem to go away! When I sent the Plantation Tea Tree acne line on Thursday, I was curious about how it would work. I’ve been using it for about a month now and am pleasantly impressed!

Let me start by saying that I have used tea tree oil (not Thursday Plantation) in the past with no difference in my skin. With that being said, I’ve heard a lot of good things about tea tree oil, so I’m willing to give this line a chance. The entire line comes with 4 items:

I actually love this face wash. The lather is very thick and you definitely feel like you are getting a deep clean. It made my skin a bit dry, so I’d say it’s definitely recommended for people with oily skin. Even with that being said, I didn’t feel like my skin was completely stripped and it felt soft and clean.

Next with tea tree and a toner with hazel. I would say that this is my least favorite part of the line as the toner is too strong and my skin feels too dry. I ended up not using it every day I was using the rest of the line and only used it on my oiliest parts (t-zone). If you have a lot of stubborn acne around you, I think this is a good second step.

Next up is the third step, the cream! I like this cream, but I don’t like it. I found it necessary when I used the ink. The cream feels very ‘medicated’, which is good, but I don’t like using it like other creams I have. It definitely put moisture back into my skin, which was definitely needed after using the previous parts of the routine!

Finally, my favorite part of the things I got to try was the Medicated Spot Treatment Gel. I love it because I feel a noticeable difference in my blemishes after one night. It really dries out the freckles. With skin care, it can be hard to notice an actual difference, but I can definitely say that my large cystic spots have improved significantly with this spot treatment.
