The Age Fun Run – West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust is once again hosting the Loch Lomond 10K as well as a fun run for young runners. The event will be held in Mass o’ Balloch (G83 8LE), with all participants completing the 10K through the finishing gantry.
The fun run starts at Mas O Baloch area. The fun run starts in waves, with the older ones (P7) in front. The first run starts at 9 am
The Age Fun Run
The event is open to parents with children (in buggies) from primary to 7 year olds. Children can be accompanied by adults during the run.
Mad Dog 10k
Course distance is approx. There is a 1 mile course for seniors and a shorter course for younger participants. The route is all by road and passes through Castle Balloch Country Park. The route will be heavily maintained. It’s all about having fun and inspiring our young people to get fit and stay fit!
Anyone who has pre-registered through their school and already has a race number need not re-register on the day. Pre-registered participants should proceed to the holding area for their age (which will be identified on the day).
Yes. Any children not already registered by their school should register at the WD Leisure Gazebo between 08:00 and 08:45 on the day.
Please ensure that you are ready to participate by 08:45 latest. Reservations are applicable for different age groups. Your child will be directed to the appropriate area designated for your child’s age and must be accompanied by supervisors prior to participating in the mass warm-up and proceeding to the start line(s). Age groups are parents, infants, toddlers, P1-3, P4, P5, P6 and P7).
Santa Runs (all Age 5k & Family 1.5k)
For the safety of all participants there will be no parking at the event site (Mas o Baloch) and as a result you may need to spend some extra time traveling to the venue. Baloch train and bus stations are very close to the event site and as a result we advise participants to use public transport if possible.
Please note that timings may vary slightly, but ensure you register by 08.45 to avoid disappointment. As part of our ongoing commitment to being as active in the community as we can in supporting our local charities, we are very excited to support our local charities. Dressing up as their favorite superhero or princess is fun and makes physical activity a positive experience.
We have received excellent permission and support from Worthing Borough Council to hold our inaugural event at Goring Gap, south of Aldsworth Avenue. The event is limited to 300 children (carers are welcome to walk along) All participants must pre-register and send their application form to our office or their school/nursery.
Each applicant’s name will be put into a hat and those selected will receive a £500 donation for their school or nursery towards sports equipment.
