Seattle To Tahiti Flight Time – This is exciting – not only has Air Tahiti Nui announced plans to fly to Seattle, but the airline has also unveiled a new partnership with Alaska Airlines.
Air Tahiti Nui has revealed that it will introduce twice weekly flights between Papeete (PPT) and Seattle (SEA) from 4 October 2022. The flight will take place according to the following schedule:
Seattle To Tahiti Flight Time
The flight will operate eastbound on Tuesdays and Saturdays and westbound on Wednesdays and Sundays. The flight will cover a distance of 4,784 miles each way and is blocked at 9:25 am Eastern and 9:30 am Western.

Seattle will be only Air Tahiti Nui’s second destination in the United States, after Los Angeles, which is served daily. From Los Angeles, Air Tahiti Nui also operates fifth freedom flights to Paris. In addition to destinations in the United States and France, Air Tahiti Nui also flies to Tokyo and Auckland.
If you’re looking to redeem your miles for business class travel on Air Tahiti Nui’s new flight, there’s good news. Many frequencies have two award seats in business class. That’s pretty great, because finding an award venue in Tahiti can be quite a challenge otherwise.
By far the best redemption program on Air Tahiti Nui is American AAdvantage. You can book awards between the United States and the South Pacific in business class for 80,000 AAdvantage miles one way. So far these award seats don’t show up on aa.com, but I’m guessing they should be booked over the phone with American.

It may seem a bit of a coincidence that Air Tahiti Nui is adding Seattle as its second US destination, since Seattle is not the country’s second largest production and development market for Tahiti. So in case you’re wondering about the logic behind this route, I guess this explains it.
Beginning April 1, 2022, Alaska Airlines and Air Tahiti Nui will launch a partnership. From that date, Alaska Mileage Plan miles will be available for Air Tahiti Nui travel. The awards are not available immediately, but are expected to be announced this spring, so hopefully that will happen in the coming months.
This is a pretty logical partnership, given that Alaska Airlines has hubs in Los Angeles and Seattle, so this provides plenty of connectivity for Air Tahiti Nui passengers.

From there I can catch a short flight to Bora Bora’s tiny airport on Motu Mute. This is not a good time for a light nap – passengers will want to keep their eyes open to take in the dramatic scenery and shimmering azure waters as the plane lands on the narrow island.
Land Transportation Although there is no public transportation on the island, most hotels offer a shuttle service to get around the island. Guests looking for the freedom to explore at their leisure can consider renting a car, scooter or even bicycle.

Travel Tips Bora Bora may not be the best choice for night-time revelers looking for sun, sand and hot discos. The island’s laid-back nightlife means after-hours activity is limited to romantic strolls along the beach and quiet drinks at intimate beach bars – the ideal escape for some travellers. While there’s some action at the nearby Club Med nightclub, it’s mostly in the form of live music and dinner theater rather than wild parties and trays of shooters.
While there, new divers and more experienced dive explorers alike will find plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with the creatures under the sea. Diving from 9 to 200 feet underwater, divers are sure to encounter eagles and giant manta rays; striking, colorful corals; and slow turtles. Some dives even bring people nose to nose with sharks.
