Renmark South Australia Accommodation – Come and experience our two luxuriously decorated holiday villas that can accommodate from 1 to 8 people each. Located across the road from the River Murray and owner operated Moor houseboat accommodation ‘Boats and Bedjaws’, all just a 5 minute walk from the river to Renmark town centre.
Each villa has a covered outdoor area with a fully equipped kitchen and barbecue, overlooking a private enclosed back yard. Villa B has a private 7m x 4m heated in-ground pool leading from the outdoor area. If you are serving a large group between two villas, pool access is available for Gate Villa A.
Renmark South Australia Accommodation
Each villa had 3 bedrooms (one king, two queens, and 2 single Murphy beds) and all beds could be split into single beds if needed. All bedding included. The main bedroom has an en-suite and dressing room and there is a second bathroom available for other guests.
Where To Stay
Secure covered parking for one car at each villa and secure parking at the rear of Villa B for another car and/or boat (accessible from rear alley). If you require additional secure parking for a boat or second vehicle at Villa A this can be arranged with us prior to arrival.
Televisions are located in the main living room and each bedroom to keep everyone entertained, along with reverse cycle air conditioning for year-round comfort.
On top of all that, the villas are modern, spacious, and fully self-contained – extra features that are all part of our goal to provide you with an easy getaway to your next well-deserved vacation!

Accommodation: Where To Stay In The Riverland
Accommodation varies from motor campsites to glamping cabins, villas and tents. For the best seat in the house, book an Oceanfront Villa. For something unique, try glamping tents.
A landmark is a place you plot on a map when you’re on a cross-country road trip. It rubs shoulders with the New South Wales and Victoria borders, sits on the Murray River and is a resort town in the Riverland region of South Australia.
BIG4 is one of the main ones, mainly because it is a chain. Largest of the lot, it sits at a bend in the Murray River and occupies an impressive 1km of land adjacent to the river (see view below).
My family and I were invited to stay in a glamping tent for 3 nights to see what it was like.
Renmark River Villas
Although the BIG4 is located on the outskirts of Renmark, it is less than a 5-minute drive from the city center, making it an ideal place to spend a few days.
It’s also a hop and a skip away from popular tourist attractions like the Paringa Bridge, 23rd Street Distillery, and the Olivewood Historic Farm and Museum.
Canvas outside with zippered doors and windows to complete the look of the tent, what’s hidden inside is truly special.
A canopy bed sits on one side, while a wooden bunk bed is visible on the other. A round wooden table invites you to sit down for a family meal while a futon invites you to relax.
Three Bedroom Riverfront Villa (8 Berth)
The only part that feels out of place is the bathroom, where the plastic shower is squeezed into the corner. It’s a bit odd, but to make up for it, the balcony has an ornate bathtub just waiting to soak in on a warm summer day.
It’s not like you have to be one to get into it. The BIG4 Rainmark Riverfront website says it’s a big hit with kids. And by God, they weren’t wrong. My daughter was walking up and down even though it wasn’t crowded.
While I can’t speak to the standard cabins in the BIG4, I can say that this tent was something else.
Bed linen (including duvets in winter), towels, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, microwave, hair dryer, mini fridge, kettle, brushes and washing up liquid and welcome tea, coffee and sugar are also included. You don’t need to pack anything.
Two Bedroom Family Accessible Villa (6 Berth)
I was disappointed and surprised that there were no mini soaps (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and moisturizer) even though mini soaps were available for hand washing.
If you’re on a long trip, have these possibilities in your kit. If you’re not, I warn you to pack wisely.

Glamping tents, which sleep up to 6 people, start at $185 per night, making them the most expensive stay in the park.
Mighty Murray Way Road Trip: Renmark To Loxton
So why the price? Well, in the end what you are paying is more than your normal room. You’re paying for a bathtub in your yard, wood decking, and that camping feel without pitching a tent.
Is it worth booking a glamping tent? If you are looking for a unique experience, yes, definitely.
However, if you’re just looking for a place to stay with all the amenities and are on a tight budget, I’d stick with the cabin.
Where do I start? If you’ve ever been to the BIG4, you’ll know it’s packed with entertainment for the little ones. Renmark is no exception.
Roads Of Strategic Importance (rosi) Program
During the summer months, the facilities include an outdoor pool and a water park. If you prefer to hit the open water, there are kayaks, canoes and paddle boats for rent.
In the colder months, like the ones we’ve been to, there’s still plenty to keep the family entertained. Next to the reception, you can rent pedal carts to ride around the park. It became a popular activity for the families we greeted as they pedaled onto our front porch.
The modular pump track is great for kids who have brought their two wheels, while the bouncy pillow is great fun.
For younger children, Tiny Tots Indoor Playland has a small variety of play equipment. My daughter was happy with the mini slide which was the perfect size for her.
Big4 Renmark Riverfront Holiday Park
Another highlight is the outdoor cinema. Run 2 night sessions with the lineup displayed on the board at the front desk. You can expect classics like Cinderella on screen and more recent movies like Hotel Transylvania.
Check-in would have been easier if we had decided to arrive before the office closed at 7pm.
We called to advise on this, which was great. They left the key and instructions at the door. However due to COVID there was more paperwork to do (which I couldn’t check on my phone) so when we got there I didn’t find any keys waiting for me.
Fortunately, there was a solution for this: a doorbell. Immediately there was the lovely Gail who was completely understanding and super helpful.

There’s no place to eat on site, which is a bit of a pain when you’re looking for a quick meal and not grocery shopping.
Your best options are to head into town for food or head to the front desk kiosk for hot drinks, slushies and snacks.
For more preparation, there are barbecue facilities within the park to cook up your own storm.
With its stunning waterfront, wide range of activities, and prime location, BIG4 Renmark Riverfront Holiday Park ticks all the boxes for a stay in the Riverlands, especially if you have young children.
