It marks the return of Emirates’ flagship planes to scheduled services since the pandemic forced the airline’s passenger fleet to be temporarily grounded in March.

Additionally, Emirates has announced the launch of passenger flights to Dhaka (from June 24) and Munich (from July 15), adding to its growing network.

Being in transfer at LHR, I quickly went to Terminal 5 Gallery Lounge South to wait for my flight to Munich.

At the reception of Elemis Travel Spa, I asked for a shower place which was confirmed and a waiting time of approx. 45 minutes was advertised which was fine for me. I received a small device that notifies me once my shower stall is ready. With that, I went up one level to the club lounge to wait.
The living room was still empty and I had a good seat and a porridge breakfast which was delicious.
After about 30 minutes my shower was ready. The shower cubicles are not very elegant and the bathrooms of the ships seem to be entirely made of plastic, as one finds for example. Ferry or Sip Cruise.
Boarding began at Satellite B Gates where there was great BA action with the 747 Queen in the sky.

The boarding process was very organized by group and I was quickly in my window seat 4F. The flight was busy this morning and Club Europe occupied the first 8 rows of this small Airbus 319.
During the long taxi to our runway, I got great views of typical LHR action with several long-haul planes and several Airbus A380s.
I arrived at my queue about 30 minutes after getting off the cart and was served breakfast with 3 main course options:
I opted for a traditional English breakfast which was delicious and came with fruit and warm bread offered in a basket.
