The reception check-in area is small but well decorated. I sat at the front desk and was immediately asked for my passport and credit card to make a deposit, as is common in most hotels. Nothing flashy but smooth as everyone expected. After 5 minutes, I was taken to the elevator and made my way to the 17th floor.
Tsim Sha Tsui East (hong Kong)
I stayed a few floors and stayed in a deluxe double room during my stay at Xi Hotel. In the first impression it is very good – the pattern of shades of dark colors on the walls, ceiling, furniture and small details make a modern and stylish finish. Contrasting areas and diffused light with a bright bath area provide a sense of ambience.
The room has a double bed, a two-seater sofa and a permanent humidifier in addition to the built-in air conditioner. To the left of the entrance there is an open hanger rack and a cushioned seating area below a mirrored window that cascades down into the shower area. This opens up a room that doesn’t look like much in terms of space, but feels more like reality.
A sliding door closes off the bathroom from the main bed area, although I found it noisy and inconvenient to use. You’ll get unlimited internet and call usage while in Hong Kong and free mobile to select international countries if you don’t have internet or a SIM card. They also list offers on some tourist attractions or restaurants, but I’ve never used them… worth seeing that.
Overall my stay at the Deluxe Double at Xi Hotel was great. The bed is extremely comfortable with pillows and a mattress pad that allows your body to sink in just firm enough for my liking. The air conditioner is powerful and works flawlessly in Hong Kong’s hot and humid climate.

The bath is therapeutic to use. The glass door slides out and has a slightly raised platform from the rest of the bathroom. The adjustable head shower and rain shower (which I like) are responsive to pressure and temperature changes which is a plus for me. It comes with the amenities you’d expect (hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc.) so I don’t have to worry about those things.
There are many lighting options and the marble vanity is built in a little thinner than usual; This opens up more space which is a result I like.
I noticed a light mold between the bath tiles and chipping in the corner, but There is nothing that feels disgusting or great anxiety. Overall, I can’t fault Xie Hotel’s bathroom except for the tear-jerking maintenance that is still nit-picking.
Breakfast is a limited but mainly continental and hot meal. From cereals, pastries to pastries and some hot dishes (with brownies, pork sausages and hams), the selection is satisfying enough to start my day, along with water drinks and yogurt for dessert. The selection of pastries is very good. I come after the morning rush so I can enjoy my breakfast in peace and quiet.
Hong Kong Airport To Tsim Sha Tsui: By Train & By Bus
The dining area remains consistent with dark cushioned chairs and wall structures, contrasting with wooden tables and warm colors. A few pieces of art on the wall and it became my favorite place to eat. Small space but it extends outside for sunny days.
Hotel Xi is a good place to be around without the hustle and bustle of people. There are many good restaurants outside the hotel, while a few minutes’ walk puts you in the heart of local restaurants, Mira Mall and surrounding shops. You can also walk a few minutes from Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade with its wonderful promenade along the sea.
Hotel Xi is a solid three-star hotel in Hong Kong for those looking for a comfortable night’s sleep in an above-average room. You will not find anything exciting here, but it does the basics well, wrapped in a modern atmosphere and beauty for a pleasant vacation.
While some furniture shows signs of wear and could benefit from maintenance or attention to detail, Hotel Xi makes me wonder how I can sleep without noise. It’s a place that puts you away from the hustle and bustle of other hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere less crowded.
