In a lively atmosphere of cultural commerce, more than 300 stalls line Sunrise Street, where local products include n wooden treasures and accessories, unique clothes and jewelry, fresh and seasonal products, works of art, leather goods, soaps and skincare, artisan cheese, bread , wines and spirits, and also delicious food ‘on the way’. When? Salamanca Market is open every Saturday (except Christmas Day or Anzac Day when the market is held on a Sunday), rain or shine, from 8.30 to 3pm. The market is only canceled in extreme weather conditions. Admission free.

On Saturdays, Salamanca Place is closed to cars from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and parking at Salamanca Market is limited. Visitors are encouraged to use the free shuttle bus to the Salamanca market, the metro bus system or one of the local car parks. Image courtesy of Wai Nang Poon.
