The expansion includes the construction of a second terminal building, which will allow the airport to increase passenger volumes. Currently, Cebu handles about 4.7 million passengers annually. The report added that a new terminal currently under construction would help. The completion of the second terminal in Cebu City will increase the airport’s annual capacity to 12.5 million passengers.
