Cloncurry Courier Service, based on Ryan Rd Mt Isavan, presented the award on a glittering night in front of a crowd of 400 at Buchanan Park Leisure Centre.

They also received the Best Service Award for Best Business Plan, Best Expansion Plan and “Best Work Ethics Accepted by All” from the Business and Services Department and the judges’ comments.

Business owners Ian and Melina Fletcher were joined on stage by business owners as they accepted the Business of the Year award.
Melina Fletcher said she and her husband came from the cattle station and knew nothing about rent when they started the business.
“We’ve worked hard to make ourselves safer and now we have a dedicated team of staff helping everyone in the community.”
“Every day they walk the streets at 3am to make sure Cloncurry doesn’t see their pathology clinic, their mining equipment and the public.”
