Bertels said the crumbling Stonehenge was the perfect symbol for the festival: “We take things very seriously and it’s also probably Australia’s most playful festival.”
Sacrilege is part of the Festival Village, which has tripled in size with two circus tents – the Spiegeltent tent and Circus Ronaldo – which provide a platform for contemporary music performances such as Amanda Palmer and circus and cabaret shows Limbo and Scotch & Soda .

Located on the corner of Pitt and Campbell Streets in central Sydney, the Metro Sydney Central Hotel, a flagship property of the Metro Hospitality Group, will complete a two-year renovation this month, with its rooms, pool, restaurant terraces and guest lifts updated absolutely.
Following the renovation, the hotel now offers 220 Superior and Deluxe rooms, with its old Standard rooms being phased out. The high level of guest accommodation is expected to further strengthen the hotel’s appeal to the foreign tourism market. Currently, the hotel receives 30 percent of its business from international guests through foreign wholesalers and tour operators.
The first phase of the renovation, completed in 2012, saw four of the hotel’s 10 floors and the rooftop pool area undergo major renovations, followed by guest lifts and restaurant terraces. The remaining six floors of the residence were renovated in the final phase, which was completed this month. The hotel is now 100 percent smoke free.
