So, I bought expensive cr123a batteries (which last for one to two movies), I bought film (and what film! I’ll write a whole solo post for that 🙂) , and I went out for that movie. to shoot. !

The Canon EOS 500 is an autofocus film camera for anyone who wants to start playing with film photography on a budget, or someone who inherited one from their father and passed it down to them. 🙂
Its autofocus is slow and hunts too much in the dark and often ends up not focusing. This is not easy when focusing manually. The viewfinder is a bit bigger than my Nikon d5000 but it’s not as bright and it’s not as big as other film cameras I’ve used, so focusing the eos 500 manually isn’t easy either.
When I got it, the shutter didn’t work (my first film was just black), but when I played it with my hands (slowly) it started to work and it was it gets stuck every now and then, but hey, electronics. for 20 euros for a metered and automatic film camera? –
After a little research I found that this is a problem that others are having. Some people find something stuck in the shutter of their old Canon EOS 500 Analog that makes it impossible to use the shutter. However as I said earlier this is not a big problem.
The Yongnuo Yn50mm F1.8 May Not Be A Bargain If You Use Eos Film Cameras
The lens it comes with is a full frame (yes, compatible with modern cameras I believe!) 35-80mm. Also, a plastic, hard zoom ring.
However, all this plastic has one big advantage: the Canon EOS 500 is very light! You can carry it for hours and forget it’s there, which is great for a camera.
Well, the camera doesn’t look great so far, but don’t be afraid: it’s a good budget camera that allows you to experiment with film. To tell you the truth I feel more free to use the camera that I don’t have to sit with the baby and I usually don’t think about it when I’m out shooting. You can get a better lens for quality alone. But if you want quality you should stick to dslrs. Film is the “look” you get, and above all for the feeling you have knowing that you are shooting in analog mode without too much space between you and your subject.
