Set on the beach amidst natural scenery, the Fox and Hounds Inn is a 1-minute drive from historic Port Arthur and a 15-minute drive from Fortescue Bay. The services are good, the room is old but clean, the food is excellent, the location is beautiful and close to historic Port Arthur.

Port Arthur Holiday Park exceeded our expectations. We expected something functional and bare-bones, befitting a holiday park. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to a spacious and homely apartment with a fully equipped kitchen (with everything you need to cook a full meal), warm and cozy bedrooms and a large bathroom with shower, bath and heated floors! On top of that, we have a fireplace in the living room which made our stay nice and healthy. The holiday park is also conveniently located near Port Arthur which was perfect for us as a stopover on our journey.

Ruby’s Cottage is located in Port Arthur, 4.2 km from Port Arthur and 6.4 km from historic Port Arthur, in a golfing area. Great location! The kids loved seeing the animals. They loved the place so much that they didn’t want to leave. The view from the hills is amazing and we enjoyed watching the sunset. The cottage is only a short walk to the historic site and shops. Thank you for our stay. We really enjoyed our night at your beautiful farm and cottage.

Older motel but well maintained in a great location, rooms are large, clean and comfortably furnished.

The bar and restaurant on site were excellent and much appreciated at the end of a long day (thanks Tassie Road).

The staff was amazing and friendly. We booked elsewhere but after the first night the other hotel was bad so we moved here.

An Essential Guide To Port Arthur Tours From Hobart

We frantically tried to find a place to stay as we got off Maria Island and started the Cape 3 trek. I found it on Booking.com and had a room. I booked at 17:30 and we arrived at 19:30. We didn’t eat. We met Audrey who was working in the restaurant and she quickly came over and fixed us up and offered to make us dinner even though the kitchen was closed – so let’s eat. The food was delicious and the local wine excellent. We took it all up to our room and had a very comfortable night! Thank you all, we are very grateful! We will be back on our next trip to walk the 3 Hats.

A great place to stay after a day in Port Arthur. Nice restaurant with good food and clean and comfortable rooms.

We booked this after a last minute change of plans and no place to stay for the night and this was the only place in Port Arthur, but we were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and beautiful the place was! Our room was spacious and clean, the restaurant on site was a big plus and we had a delicious dinner and dessert there, and the restaurant has a great view of the historical site. Really good value for money.
