The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and large garden bath with raindrop shower, carefully tucked away to the side of the patio for maximum privacy.
The second bedroom overlooks the sparkling green tile pool. Both bedrooms have a choice of air conditioning or fan cooling, have their own safes, and are equipped with cable TV, DVDs and CDs.

Avani Seminyak Bali Resort opened as a brand new hotel in 2020 after undergoing several renovations. This all villa property was originally developed by him in 2012 under the name Anantara Vacation Club Bali Seminyak.
The hotel was closed due to an outbreak within weeks of opening and reopened on 1st June 2021, the day before our stay.
The Secret Villas, Seminyak
Since the rebranding, a new modern collection building has been constructed. The building was still closed during my stay, but reservations are now available as of this writing.
PRO TIP: Always check GHA Discovery Hotel prices on the brand’s official website. You will often get lower rates than discoveryloyalty.com.
Upon arrival, they helped me with my luggage before I was taken to reception and my temperature was taken.
I booked a base room (1 bedroom villa) but was upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa when I arrived as a GHA Discovery Black member.
Villa Kumpi 2 In Seminyak, Bali
As the numbers say, this villa is big! Being a newly opened property, it is clean and well maintained. We also enjoyed the long private pool.
What I didn’t like was that there was no proper work desk, the internet was intermittent, and after being closed for over a year, no one was running the water from all the taps. The bathtub came out with smelly, muddy water.
Unlike other better value hotel loyalty programs, GHA Discovery Premium members are not automatically entitled to complimentary breakfast.
However, the price I booked included breakfast. Breakfast was served as a la carte his buffet at the Globe Restaurant from 7am to 11am.
The Decks Bali, Legian, Indonesia
During our stay, we had the option to have breakfast delivered to our room. Food quality was good and delivery was always on time.
The gym was the weakest point of the property. It was very small and had only one non-functioning treadmill which was noisy at over 7km/h. There was also a weight room (not pictured below).
Believe it or not, I was overbooked for a total of 20+ nights at this property and ended up canceling the remaining nights.
Paying that amount for a 2 bedroom villa was an absolute steal, it didn’t have a proper desk for a long stay – the computer works only at the dining table. Poor quality gym and choppy internet made it very difficult to make this place our home for more than a couple of days.
